Scholastic Book Fairs

Reading is fun!

Ms. Badder takes a peek at some newly donated books in the Plymouth Media Center.

Plymouth Elementary hosts two Scholastic Book Fairs each year in November and March. We earn Scholastic Dollars through our participation which we can use to purchase new books for the school’s Media Center, fill teacher wish lists, and give back directly to students.

Upcoming Book Fairs

Our first Book Fair of the 2019-2020 school year will be held November 6-8. We are currently seeking volunteers to help students browse and purchase books. Click the narwhal in the photo above to sign up!

The Book Fair hours are:

  • Wednesday: 8:00am-9:00am and 3:30pm-6:00pm
  • Thursday (parent teacher conferences): 8:00am-9:00am and 11:00am-8:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am-9:00am and 3:30pm-6:00pm

Previous Book Fairs

Our March Dino-Mite Book Fair was a roaring way to celebrate Reading Month. We were able to use some of the space in the school’s Media Center, so students could browse during their library time. The PTO also purchased books about kindness and friendship for Mrs. Pung, the school’s Family/Community Support Coordinator, to use with students.

Our November Enchanted Forest Book Fair was a magical way to start the school year. Students enjoyed browsing a variety of books, and many picked up a copy the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Teachers filled red baskets with copies of books their students would enjoy for classroom reading, and many families chose to purchase them as gifts.
